a valuable lesson

so this weekend I installed my cooling mist water injector
(gonna post install pics later)

but anyway i got it all in and everything tied and wired down
and took it on a road test
boosted to about 7psi and pump didnt kick on which was ok because the boost sensor is set to go off at 10psi
so i turned my profec B to high boost and punched it
i heard the pump kick on and the car in 3rd pulled a lot harder than it ever has before
then a very loud poof followed by the car acting like i turned off the key

i freaked out and pulled over immediatly
car was still running and idling ok

the clamp that held the coupler to the TB was gone
i am going to say that it fell off to the ground when it popped because then i wont have to take the blame for forgetting to put it back on


man that scared the hell out of me

so let that be a lesson to everyone
tighten and double check
before you take a test ride

another mental note...

Use T-Bolts for clamps rather than shitty autzone hose clamps. You can get them on ebay for cheap. Also.. spray some hairspray on the ends of the pipes and then put your couplers on. The hairspray acts like glue. Just get some superhold stuff.

T bolts are the man! I just bought a case of 16 off of eghey cuz I need like 12 cuz of my st00pid jerry rigged ic piping. Those suckers are awesome! I used to keep blowing off the pipe right off the turbo boosting over 10psi but since I put those on, not once.
