yo guys so I opened my kit and this is what i found. Everything I expected except a few things. First of all is this the right turbo? when i try to put everything to gether the outlet on the intake side is pointing up, but in all the kits that i look at your guys point down? I thought the only polished turbos were the ball bearing ones for the star kit. And obviously this is deffinetly polished and beautfiul. Number 2 how the hell does the wastegate and dump tube align? when i do a mockup here in the picture it deff seems like the dump tube shouldnt point up like that. And they didnt give me my fuel pump or black box. So will you guys help me and tell me if i need to take apart the turbo and switch it so it faces down, and tell me how the wastegate setup goes.

wow  ok when you install the kit or if you want to you have to "clock" the turbo. that means on the outlet side untighten those 6 or so bolts and the whole thing should rotate.

as far as the dump tube it should go down. try turning it the other way :thumbdown

i think the star kit should come with a fuel pump and a black box unless you ordered one for a 95. i would call them or whoever you ordered it from and have them get to shippin' you will end up replacin the black box with a missing link anyway. you should get a walbro 255 fuel pump with the kit i think.

good luck :D

No I understand i agree the dump tube should be facing down but if i put it down it goes right into the block at the angle its at. Also Do you know if thats the ball bearing turbo or not. I do have a 96 so its the early fuel system but i thought i still needed the fuel pump at least. and i wanted the black box just in case.

the dump tube does point to the block, and the turbo rotates when you loosen the bolts, rotate the center to get the oil feed/return lines were you need them. then loosen the bolts on the turbine housing to get the outlet were you need it.

how do i rotate the center to get the oil feed lines correct i understand the outlet housing and how to do that but im not sure about the center is it the 4 bolts on each side connecting it to the housings?

If i remembeer correctly it's the bolts on the sxhaust side they're the ones that go thru the solid ring.

Yeah that turbo is not the "normal" turbo that comes with the kit. You could call up turbonetics directly and see what you have. But that turbo was not ment for the Star Kit. Where did you order from? The polished housing is not a sign of BB or no BB it's just another option in the ordering. As for the tube it does go right to the block. Your kit should have come with the whalbro pump, but the black box will only come if you ordered 96+. You won't need it if your 96 though if you have the early fuel system, and you don't want it they are more trouble than they are worth. If I were you though I would get a missing link or have them send you the black box just to be safe, I would just get the ML..

How do i turn the center part of the turbo where the oil feed lines go in to make them correct so one is pointing up.

just like you do the outlet side but you do it on the exhaust side and it should turb freely. you should clock it all at once cause if you clock outlet and then turn the center to get the oil outlet set up then your turbo outlet will get messed up again.

Okay thanks guys for all your help I finally know what i have to do now, and if anybody was curious Importparts.com was very helpfull and sent me another fuel pump asap, didnt even question me so thats on the way and that was the only thing i was missing other than the black box but they said i dont need it for the 96.

Oh and also it is the right turbo. Turbonetics just changed it and now they all come polished and look like that, just a little update.
