so i went to the dyno today

first run i had the profec on lo boost just to start off on the safe side

it hit about 7.5 psi, 202 whp and 219.8 fp of torque.

air fuel was a flat 10.0
i am not sure on the air fuel but the tech said it was rich and i could afford to turn up the boost some

so i did a run on high boost

this is where it got interesting

you can see the max hp and torque on the attachment but what concerns me is the boost surge
as you can see at about 4500 rpm's the tach would go up and down

but as you can see the air fuel is still at 10.0 so it is not fuel cut or detonation

i noticed on the way home that the gain on the boost controller was set to 50%
so i was thinking could it be spiking, hitting the boost limiter that i had set to 13psi and dropping the rpm's?????

i know i should lower the gain and try again but now i am a little nervous about running it that hard

Are you still using the craptech FPR from Hahn?

If so you need some fine tuning from a SAFC2 and get rid of it and buy a SFMU or FMU w/1:1 fpr.. That thing sucks ass ( I wasted two hours of dyno time messing with that POS)

You can bring your A/F ratio to around 11.6...

You need some smoothing on that dyno slip and show the RPM #'s throughout the graph....try to rescan it.

Don't worry about the numbers it is still untuned.... :thumb:

yes it still is the craptech

i was thinking about an aeromotive 1:1

for a while i was going to get the apexi afc but decided to get the portfueler instead

mainly for the fact that it is easier to pass a sniffer test with the portfueler

yes, turn the gain down some. the profect b spec II is a little difficult to tune at higher boost levels. it took me a couple hours to get it right on high boost without any weird shit going on.

get ride of the cartech.
