my shop built a monster 420a in a 99 eclipse gs if you need help with anythig let us know
the whole kit is costom no kits used here so we tried alot of difrent things.

dyno numbers? track times? is it turboed or all motor? what kind of internals did you go with? compression? how much money was spent in parts? how long did it take?

pictures dambit! pictures..... i saw a ufo but you dont want the story you want the pictures!!!!! hahaha seriously though pictures...

ok guys i dont have the most up to date pics but here are some

http://www.visionsofspeed.net/custpics/eclipse420a/

as for current horsepower will know soon doing head work at the moment
crower bits and pieces last tested at about 350 i think.
havent done any 1/4 miles yet will soon on our mustang dyno.
internals are pauter x-beams and ross racing pistons and rings
no crank work, stock one is already balanced and knife edged.

intercooler is good for up to 600hp its better than it looks, but might be going to the hahn fmic fits better and gets a little more air flow, will need to mod the endtank to take larger piping though

yahh get some dyno numbers and change the intercooler to intercoolerer.. haha nevermind but :thumb:

i see u hooked both the top and bottom nipple up on the wastegate, what did you hock each up to? how long was your oil drain line? did you change the axles, if yeah what stage did you go with? and did you replace the LSD and or swap the tranny? what turbine/trim is that turbo? new water pump... did you go with the carter one? if yeah hows that workin for ya? any easyer keepin it cooler? did you over size the pistions? what about head work? new valves? bored? p/p? crane cams? gona throw some nitruos at it? any reason why you didn't go with JE/Eagle? i hope your gona zip tie that boost gauge line.

Ok so ome boost controlers need only one nip others need both nips on a wastegate, the hks manual i have take both, so both those lines go to the boost controler. the oil drain line goes almost stright down no more then a 12.5". no axel change yet. waiting for the tranny to die before i do all that work, when it happens i will most likely by a new trany (mine has 100k plus miles on it) and then cryo hard with some good axel i need to do that research forst to see what i will go with. will get back to you on the trim i have to check but i think it is a 50. i went with a stock mitsubishi water pump and it is working fine, it stays cool. i have the felx-a--lite slimlines and they help a ton, will get new pic a post today. the pistons are .020 over. head work was kept little. the head is designed by lotus in the first place so it is good, but i went to crower for springs and retainers and the local machine shop ported it but we didnt polish we need that little extra turbulance to further atomize the fuel from those big injectors. no cams of yet but will proly go with some custom crowers. only n20 will be an intercooler sprayer. and lastly i didnt go je/eagle because everyone else does.

monster 420a bulit if you have any questions ask learn form our mistakes???

What monster??? I don't see what this thread is about... What mistakes are you talking about? You need to list all of the mods and a dyno to tell us whats going on with your car? Looks good for a custom kit. Damn that turbo is way too close to the radiator.. Good luck trying to get a fluidyne with some fans in that bi***..

sorry if my title was vauge i was just saying if you are having any probs ask away we have learned alot building this one. we have slim fans in now and they fit fine no need to change rad yet, its not overheating.

You are controlling 780cc injectors with a 1:1 FPR and SAFC.. What is your A/F ratio like?? I tried the SAFC thing, and I think it is Garbage for our cars. You should upgrade to a stand alone so you have a flat A/F ratio and a better HP curve (no spikes). Our stock PCM sucks ass for turbo cars...

What is the model # for your Garret T4.. Where did you get it from?

yeah its a peice of junk not sure what i will do yet, we are working on a sweet little controler far better than a safc at the moment will let you know how it comes out, it works great on the vipers my shop use them on. not sure the number of the turbo i polished it so nothing is left on it, we had it lying around the shop, not sure where we got it from, sorry.

If your pushing the power you say, then u must have an oil cooler. which did you go with? where did you perchase it? if your not runing a cooler i assume your contemplating which or where to get. tell me the choices your thinking about. thanks

flex-a-lite high performance oil cooler, cost about 170 includes everything for install....

I need a stand alone, anyone know where I can get one (if they make it) to handle anywhere up to 500hp?? Have a 420a of course.

I see you turboed the 420a and I am too. I am piecing the kit and since Im not getitn a trubo install kit im makin an adapter. A guy on this site sent me a photo of how he did his. I get two flanges and weld it to 2.5 inch piping,. I have dcsport headers so it shouldnt crack as maybe the stick would. Please tell me what you think and what flanges I will be able to use b/c I kno there are 2 different ones.thanks

go to www.2gnt.com and check out the megasquirt system

it is like 300 bucks for a standalone that lets you use whatever size injectors you want with a 1:1 fpr and still have stock fuel pressure at idle.

check out posts by a MRslick
at last count he is using 800cc i believe and boost over 20psi daily
