wierd sound

i have a wierd sound coming out of my engine that i desperatly hope isnt expensive

only when the engine is cold do i hear a ticking sound

the engine has titanium valve springs that are extremely heavy
so i am guessing that is the noise

there is no sound when the engine warms up

i use royal purple 20w50 oil with lucas stabilizer

should i be concerned

i wouldn't be too concerned..

did you only upgrade the springs? what about lasher and retainers? the lashers could be getting a workout...

yes the springs, lashers, retainers etc came as one package

like i said it smooths out when the engine warms up
so i thought about trying a different weight oil

20w50 oil is way to thick. You should go down to a 10w30 or 10w40 at most.

i run mobile 1 full synthetic 5w30

i will try a lower weight at the next oil change and see where that gets me
with this annoying noise
