i got a '97 RS and a friend on mine has a '98 GSt..he's upgradin his turbo so the stock GST turbo is goin on my car. he's gonna give me everything thats going to come off his car includin the stock intercooler which i will use for a while until will get my front mount. umm questions are 1. as far as i know id need a different intake manifold and some custom pipin done is there anythin else?? 2. wats the best brand, size etc. to use for the front mount intercooler. thanks.

the only parts you can use on yours would be the turbo and the intercooler. however you will need a ton of custom parts to even remotely get this to work, and when you finally get it done you wont be fast because the t25 is tiny.. if you want to save money and do a custom turbo setup you need to do some homework before getting started. there is a lot involved in doing a turbo setup and even the cheapest custom jobs will cost you over $1600 to get done. in your case it would be best if you were to save and buy a kit from Hahn or star...good luck.

umm im not tryin to make it FAST just a lil quicker then it is right now the TOPS that i want pushed out of it is like 250hp not much more so the t25 would be fine for now...

A used T25 turbo and stock bottom end with 250whp, no way... unless you every supporting mod possible

probably not 250 but around 225 or so, they come stock with 135-140 stock, if he runs low boost like 8 psi (thats all your engine could handle with stock pistons and such) with he high compression pistions that he has in his 420a it should give him a significant amount of difference compared to stock, imturboing my car and only using a t25 and running 5 psi till i can afford new pistons, all you should really need is a turbo, 420a turbo manifold (ebay), intercooler and piping, bov, boost controller, different fuel pump (walboro makes a good one, thats what i have), oil lines to turbo and return lines and what not, you could get different injectors, but i wouldnt think you need them. i think that about does it, theres probably a few things im forgetting tho.

buy a cheap Mitsubishi 16G then u wont have to think about boosting more and buying new pistons. and keep your boost below 10 so you dont jack any internal 420a parts. Im starting my Hahn stage 2 next week. G/L!!!

In order to put that turbo on your car you need a new exhaust manifold. Your intake manifold will work fine. After you find a manifold that will work with a T25, you have to get piping. There is a lot to this, and your going to be better off buying a stage 1 kit. I don't know where you could find a manifold for a T25 (nobody likes that turbo). Save your money and get a Star or Hahn kit, you won't regret it.
