ok say i get the star stage 2 turbo kit, the nescessary guages and get a boost controller and set it at about 5-6 psi. will my internals be fine for just that much boost. also i would plan on upgrading the internals after that how high would i be able to turn up the boost on the turbo supplied in the stage 2 kit? Also would i be able to put in aftermarket turbo on or am i stuck with the one in the kit? o yea also would the 2.25 thermal r&d exhaust work fine with it. Just some questions to help me better understand if its worth it or not

Im sure other ppl would say, use the search feature... but I'll just giev you the answers... may not be correct, but I speak from experience.

You can run 5-6psi fine, even 7psi if u wish, but know this, the headgasket is weak, and you will prolly need to replace it with a MLS one. The crank, piston, rods are strong enough to hold as long as you are giving it the right amoun of fuel and not hitting detonation.

After Upgrading internals, depending on what Compression Ration you choose will allow you to run higher boost, as long as you are running the right fuel. What will limit you is knock. I stress again, it all depends on your fuel delivery and what fuel u run.

And if you get the Star kit, the flange on the manifold is garett. So you can bolt on pretty much any other 4 bolt garett turbo. The problem will be fitment, the t3/t4 is pretty big as is... instead maybe look into upgrading the wheel.

And ya, a 2.25" exhaust is fine for 5-7 psi... but u might want to go bigger later.

And to answer your questions if it is worth it or not? That depends on you... modding cars has never given any return value. Worth is totally up to you. I have spend a fair bit on my car, and if it were a GS-T/GSX, I would probably be up in the 400whp already. But I love my car, and I like exploring the routes I am taking, it's fun, so that in itself is my worth.

ok thanks for the help also yea fuel tuning is very important and i only run amoco premium as it worked the best in my 91. Also i heard the headgaskets were weak but you said the crank rods and pistons will be fine.

For 5-7psi, the crank, rods, pistons will hold. Anything higher, rods will go first.... or pistons if u detonate... they wont withstand the heat.
