Well I have had my car turbo for a bit now with the star stage II turbokit and it seems after 6 psi the stock injectors can't handle it. Before I could put in the new things I bought for it (415cc injectors, 1:1 fmu, and greddy e-manage) my brother took it out and the car died on him. The engine seemed to turn over fine and we brought it to a shop. Eventually they were able to start it and all felt fine and then it acted real wierd. Basically the needles went down as if it shut off and then it would jump back on, they said it seems to be the ecu.

I'm just wondering if this seems right and if our cars are known to have ecu problems? I posted it here since I turbo'd the car but maybe it belongs in the regular 2gnt section?

i was driving home 1 day and my 95 gs just died, turned off and wouldnt start the man hooked a computer to it and said that it wouldnt read it turned out to be my computer i went to a junk yard and jacked 1 stuck it in and started right up but yes that does sound right because after my car died it wouldnt start but finally it started up then i turned it off and it never started again untill i got the computer changed so yeah it sounds about right

Thanx thats good to know. I was a bit worried that it may STILL not even be the ecu but now I'm pretty confident it infact is. Thanx for the reasurance bro :thumb:

Wouldn't you be able to just disconnect the battery for an hour or so to reset the ECU? When I remove my battery in the fall and the put it back in in the spring, when I first start the car the idle fluctuates for a couple of minutes or so & then it's fine.

I don't know... just curious.

I know that after my motor swap, my ECU died shortly after. Wouldn't start, and eventually the check engine light didnt come on. Bought a new one and all is well so far.

A buddy of mine also put in a new motor and his ECU crapped out on him too. Not sure that its NORMAL for ourECU's to go bad, but I have heard of a few incidents here and there in which they have.
