1G Pre-Made Turbo Kits

I feel like such a newb asking this, oh well.

If I wanted to just fork out 3 grand and buy a turbo kit form somewhere and slap it on my car I wont need a turbo ECU right?

My plan now (it has changed so many times) is to buy a turbo kit then save money and redo my internals, head work, drivetrain, blah blah blah. Then get a bigger turbo. Ive heard that if I want a big turbo I need the ECU. Is this also true with a bolt-on turbo kit?

I do however know that I will need a piggyback something or other to tune. I will probably buy an SAFC II.

HRC makes a bolt on turbo that advertises that everything else on the motor except what was replaced by the kit can be left stock.

Well judging by the info, Adrenaline Crash doesnt have a 2gnt, but a 1gnt. I am not too sure, but I dont think that anyone makes a bolt on turbo kit for the 1g Eclipse/Talon. Only for the 2g.

People have done the turbo motor swap, and YES that would cause a need to get the turbo ECU.
