For the Star Stage II Turbo Kit, it has a BOV that it comes with and it is HKS bov but which one is it so i can see what it look like and if it is any good.

Last time I checked.. all HKS products are top notch, I'm sure it will please you.

Ya thats what I was thinking too, but i looked up all HKS bov's and there were 4 or so and there is one that from the first 1st gen series. so i just didnt want to end up with that. but i can live with it untill i get a new one if it sucks or somthing.

The stage 2 Star kit comes 'standard' with the no frills HKS bypass valve. I had to request/pay more to get the kit flanged-for, and equipped with the HKS SSQBOV. I wanted the SSQBOV because it can work with more power than the standard one (which is only good for around 300hp according to HKS).

Either way you choose to go, you should be able to request any extra options for the kit from the kit distributor you decide to purchase from.

That what I found on the web for searching for half and hour, found out is was just a bypass. So thats cool you can order what ever want with it. I think of getting the greddy. So just ask for it or send them an email. Thanks for the help.

O and do i need a Adapter Flange for the greddy or the HKS

If you request a different blow off valve the kit should be flanged for that particular BOV by the kit manufacturer. If not, you can take the intake pipe to a welder and have him weld the flange for you. I received my kit with the SSQBOV flange already welded to the intake pipe, so I would believe they still do this when somebody requests a different BOV.

oh that shithot man, i see i just request it. what site did you buy it from. or will any site do that for you that sells the kit.

I bought my kit through one of the original resellers, Wyatt Leras. I don't believe he sells the kits anymore.

I would call iMoto (imoto.com) and see if they can hook you up with a different BOV. It's not like they keep these kits in stock, so I'm sure they can tell the manufacturer to change any part of the kit for you.

Thank, I will go through imoto.com to buy it then. I see they have a note attactment that i can send them. So thats cool. How is the kit by the way.

It gets a big fat :thumb: from me. Can't beat the price-to-quality ratio of Star really, unless you are going for a homemade kit or something.

There is also the HRC kit, which is more expensive, and has more limitary components. That is unless you want to fork out a lot more for their FMIC upgrade and the 20g turbocharger upgrade to match Star's standard potential efficiency.

no ill stick with the star stage 2 kit im waitin long enough to just have enough to spare the get this kit. LoL I have to much computer shit so im selling everthing i can on ebay to help me out. I just bought AEM rotors to so ya. Do you have any vids or sound clips of how it sounds. JW
Oh and if you go to turbokits.com they ask if you want to upgrade the turbo to a ball bearing. Should i.

If you have the extra cash for the ball bearing upgrade, it may be worthwhile. However, the ball bearing turbo only allows for a quicker spoolup. That sounds fine and dandy to most people, namely AWD'ers (they have low-end traction), but because we are front wheel drive I would rather have my power build up later in the powerband so I wouldn't have low-end wheel-spin in first and second gear all the time. If I had a ball bearing turbo I don't think I would have ever got my car under 2 seconds in the 60 foot because I would have that much more power down low when leaving the line. Not like the bearing of ballness spools an unholy-prodigious-amount more (really only a few hundreds of rpms sooner), but with my traction as it is right now, I don't think more low-end would help my traction situation one friggen bit.

In my own humble opinion I think you should just ask them for a t04e trim turbo instead of the standard t04b, if you want the further potential of the t04e that is. But if you want the power to spool up a bit earlier in the powerband then by all means go ball bearing on either the t04b or t04e. Don't know about other people but when I want my power to hit hard, I simply downshift - eliminating all reasoning to pay that much more for ball bearing. Just my two cents so take it how you will, it's your car and you make it into what you want it to be.

Oh, and ask whomever you get the kit from if they can add the open wastegate dump-tube option. The sound it makes elates me every time I hear it, without fail. ;)

Sorry for the delayed message but i went drink lastnight and just got home from drinkin tonight. but ya i think i will do what u are talking about sound smart and ill ask about the waste gate too. And the end of next week is when i will be ordering I HOPE thats the goal.

Thanks for everything man.

Thanks for the link man. Ya he does know his stuff. Ya its like christmas when i was little all over again with waitin for the kit. Good luck with yours.
