All 1st gen n/t with turbo parts come here

Hey this is to all of you with the 1st generation eclipses with turbo parts on your n/t engine. Just wanted to hear some stories on your conversion. How it went? How many days it took? How your car is running today? and some kill stories about the cars you have raced since you have put turbo parts on.

my VIN says it's NT, but it has the entire turbo motor swap done (engine/tranny/ECU/harness, etc). very sweet deal; fast car & cheap insurance!

i say go for it. not that hard really. just get yourself a donor car and you're set!

good to see you finally got that swap done, its been a long time since you first started talking about it. oh and i love the insurance too

yeah, ran good all summer til the TPS started acting up towards the end. I just took it out today for the first day of the year, and plan to change that this afternoon. (go figure, it's still broke?) but other than that, runs like a top! knock on wood

i got my swap done also, but i dunno why my turn signals dont work and my tac and fuel guage dont work either, my low fuel warning light works tho. so far in the past 3 weeks i blown a head gasket and went through 2 turbos. it made me poor now im broke im gonna rebuild the turbo put it back in and if i get 1 more problem out of it in under a week im gonna burn it. far as i know i got the only turbo 1g in my town aside from an awd in the neighboring town.

sorry to hear about your bad luck. my guages work flawlessly. i kept the stock NT guage cluster in there, and have no problems whatsoever. did you change it for the turbo cluster? or keep the NT?

i used the n/t guage cluster, i think its because it was a 1.8 car and not a 2.0n/t so some of the connectors didnt match up. i was going to try the turbo cluster to see if that helps any. far as my turn signals i have no clue why they dont work. i dont see how the turn signal switch in the sterring colum woul have anything to do with the turbo engine wiring harness.

i would assume that to be the issue. PM me if you need a guage cluster for a T or even NT, i can probably hook you up good. that should solve your problems i imagine. (mine was a 2.0 to start with, not a 1.8)
