Ignition Harness for E-manage
Has anyone figured out if the e-manage ignition harness works with our cars. Some people on 2gnt say they did but they dont respond to their emails. Bc I need something to control my timing with.

Definitely ask BigRand... He has been messing with the E-Manage for months now... I live nearby to him, so I know what kind of issues he's having. He told me and I've seen that he can NOT run spark with his E-Manage on a 2GNT. He runs an MSD box, but I'll let him explain it to you.

Ajax, good seeing ya again man, No I haven't heard anything about getting the ignition timing to work, but if it did, then I would love the emanage all over again, because the msd 6212 box is basically garbage, and not worth the money at all.
Keep me posted. P.S. you still looking to have that e-01 bezel made?

Okay well the msd dis-2 box I have with boost retard (6212), does its job.
Except we are having issues finding out how much timing the stock ecu is already pulling out, both at idle, and at wide open throttle. (you'll hear about this more later).
Take a look into that box, or the crane box from howell.
Another thing about the msd box I don't like is that its not tune able in real time, you can view it in real time, but when you change something you have to send it to the box immediately.
I really hope someone figures out how to make that ignition harness thing work for our cars, but at this point I'm sticking to what I've already got.

thanks for the advice. I will see what I can find out and afford. Off subject the shop that installed my e-manage did not install a missing link. Do I still need that with the E-manage or not?

The emange does come with its own fuel cut defending electronics, however your going to figure out how to use it. www.greddy.com and look under tech and read the entire manual. Then call up greddy or e-mail someone who knows a lot about making that part of the system work. (call or e-mail the guy who works at mohdparts.com)
I've looked at that part of the system, but I've never had to use it cause I had one already clamping the voltage down from the star kit. The emange would do it electronically too if u set it up. If you can't figure it out, just pick up the missing link.
But yes to answer your question, you still need something to stop the manifold from seeing boost.

I have never played with an emanage but isnt there a menu that allows you to define the voltge you want the unit to clamp at? If so then use 4.55-4.60V and you will be fine. I vaguely remeber a discussion about this on 2gnt and i thought it was that simple.
JamesMan is also a great contact but he is so busy these days.

I just found some info on my computer back when I was first researching the emange on 2gnt.com and such.
Thought I'd make it avaliable for others to find it a little easier. It'll help you out with ignition timing, and it just gave me a new idea on how to tune my car, so when I save up some more money I'll probably get it on the dyno one more time.
I just painted it so I'm a little low on funds. (pics to come)
Anyways here is some more info from 2gnt.com
