rubber bushings from cable to trans

so I've read up the the shifted cables that go on the trans; there is a rubber bushing on there and people in evo world have switched it out for solid or a skate board bearing to be solid. any reason to do this? I've been thinking about doing it but looking for any pro and cons?

Of coarse there is a reason to do it. It makes the shifter cables tighter. There are really no cons to it. Go buy some real cheap skateboard wheel bearings and push them in with a c clamp.

luckily i used to skate and have a brand new set of bearings at the house, and just making sure there wasn't any cons to it. don't feel like fixing something else! just rebuilt this whole motor top to bottom

Quite simple to do (I use used bearings that I saved from upgrading my in-line bearings). But I had people asking, so I did a write up on it;
