I have had my tranny sitting in the garage for about a year with nothing but rags in the axle input hole (I know... Dumb) So I want to flush it to make sure that no dirt got in. Is there a way to flush it other than spending $$$$ on nvt350 tranny fluid and pouring it in a few times? Can I just use some cheap fluid for flushing?

P.S. I searched for awhile and was surprised no one else has asked this question... So either i'm an idiot or i missed something.

If you had rags in it you should be fine. Assuming your garage is not a completely filthy place.
