I've been posting in here alot lately, but I've run into another problem with my a/t to m/t swap. I've gotten the transmission in, but not I'm having a problem bolting the clutch up to the flexplate. My bolts that bolted the torque converter to the flexplate are too short, and I can't seem to be able to pull the clutch towards the flex plate any farther to get the bolt started. are there different bolts for the m/t for the clutch? I also tried getting a longer bolt, and tightening it down so it would pull the clutch closer, and it didn't work.

so I'm curious as to if the bolts to the clutch are longer than the bolts for the torque converter.

thanks.

the 420a's have modular clutches, so they bolt straight to the flexplate. and I was using the torque converter bolts from my old automatic, because I assumed they would work.

ALSO: I got it. I put a longer bolt in, tightened it down to pull the clutch to the flexplate, turned the crank, and put the torque converter bolts in the other holes, then went back to the first bolt, took it out, and replaced it with the correct one.
