Replaced Master and Slave Clutch Cylinder...still hard to shift

Hey guys,

Question, 10 days ago we had a very very cold night. I parked car and was running fine shifting all ok. Next day as the day went by the shifting got harder and harder, eventually i couldnt shift unless I turned car off. Took it to mechanic and said i had a leak in my master and slave cylinder, so I replaced those. Now the car still has some issues with shifting. sometimes its very hard to shift into the gear and other times its not, also my clutch now catches all the way at the bottom, move it a feather and car wants to move. Seems like there should be an adjustment of some type?? My clutch use to catch low, but not this low. This is worrying me as I dont want to eat up my clutch and flywheel by having to shift hard to get the gear in.

The mechanic after i took it back is like oh car is a 98 with 74K you need a clutch, I hve no signs of slipping or grinding, the car worked fine and over night it wouldnt shift.

think they want to get a clutch out of me, anyone else had this issue?

Bleed the clutch lines (they can be difficult, I recommend reverse bleeding) and adjust the pedal.

the clutch was bled. How do I go about adjusting the clutch?

Just because you bled the clutch does not mean all the air is out of the lines. To adjust the clutch, take a look under the dash, its pretty self explanatory.

Ok, well I took it out to a shop as I had said, I'd like to believe that they bled it correctly. I'll look under the dash again today. I looked this morning and noticed that when I hit the clutch it has pressure in it but it hits the firewall. So I think your write that it needs to be adjusted. I'll take some pics If i dont figure it out

but should be fairly easy.
