Neon head on Mitsubishi block

Ok first off let me say i know quite a bit about both motors and i know they are pratically identical to eahc other. i know the head of the neon is different in the fact that the Intake is on front and exhaust is out back, Opposite of the Eclipse. Oh and i have the 420A motor just to clear that up.

I have a buddy who is a member of neons.org and he is finding all kinds of motor parts, stock of course. But really really cheap. I am wondering if i can bolt a Neon head up to my block. reverse it so its right...intake in back and exhaust up front.

If not would i benefit from buying a block from a neon, not performance wise but just to have a running bottom end?

I am looking around for a complete motor and i know that the avengers have the same motor so i am looking at all angles of this.

it will bot on but after you turn it around you will have to find some way to rerun the timing belt.

I know the cams would be on opposite sides, thats why i asked. What if i was to flop the cam around so it would line up....kinda dumb ? to ask but i figured what the hell

I dont think that you can just flip the cams, Im pretty sure there is a specific way to install them.

Also, why would you want a Neon head? Our head flows pretty well as it is.

my reason for a neon head was just because i have found a lot of them for really cheap and that was the only reason.

After more research i have found it wont work as the valve sizes are different

just to clear it up - it's not a Mitsu block, it's a Chrysler block.
