here are the demensions.....

2.25 in. center inlet/outlet, 16 in. x 4 1/4 in. x 7 7/8 in. case size, stainless steel, XR-1 race muffler

and the stuff it says about the muffler is this.

Whether it's drag racing or circle track racing, Borla has an XR-1 racing muffler for you. In fact, the 16 in. Shootout mufflers are rated the highest flowing mufflers on the market. XR-1's feature a straight through design for maximum flow, aircraft quality T304 stainless steel construction for reduced weight, all-welded, one-piece design for increased structural integrity, and stainless steel sound absorbing material to protect against burnout.

Borla _used_ to be one of the top-line aftermarket exhausts, primarily for European cars (along with Stebro). They were OEM for Ferrari and FIAT. I've lost track of what they're up to these days, but just that they've lasted this long says something.
That they're not well-known in the DSM world says something altogether else.

i couldn't imagine one of these sounding that good on an nt, on a turbo it would just be damned loud and probably not worth its price as compared to a straight piece of pipe.

i used to have one on my 2gnt...they are loud, raw and down right obnoxious...don't even go there...as far as borla goes its a top notch company that has an excellent product....but the XR1 is a bit much for our use....
