Has anyone had experience or heard of any one attempting to swap the third generation eclipse v6 motor into a 2g dsm. I've looked at the motors before and the trannies are in the same general vicinity, i haven't looked at the size of the engine/engine bay that closely. I think it would be an interesting project, my friend owns xtech engineering who makes a turbo kit for the 3g v6, i haven't really talked to him about the possibilities but like i said it would be a fun and unique project and was just wondering if anyone had any sort of info.

Yes it has been done but for the price of getting a measly 200HP you could have 300+ already with a rebuild and turbo kit :)

No info on it though. It was on ebay once. Waste of $$ if you ask me. The 420A is much much better :)

Hi!:D
I have heard of this engine swap but not in detail.
I believe the 3G V6 produces 210HP, so in respose to evulflea's
post, I think he may be wrong as with a rebuild and a turbo the V6 should by all means make much more than 200HP.

xtech I think makes a turbo for the 3g v6, 346 whp i believe.

yeah xtech is actually based about 8 blocks from where i live and they are good friends of mine. I don't know specific dyno numbers but when i get them i'll let you guys know, that's why i was interested in this swap to begin with.
