Hey guys i heard good and bad things about these performance resistors has anyone used one??

I was also wondering where is the intake air temperature sensor located on mt car?? I have a resistor and they say itt works by tricking the onboard pc that it abotu32 degreed outside making a richer fuel mixture! Anyway i have a 94 eagel the slow non-turbo one and i was wondering where exactly do i plug the resistor in! Is the mass air plug the plug that plugs into the back of the air-box? It says plug the resistor in to the mass air plug then tape it and the resistor so that no water can get in!! If i am not mistaken its saying that you do not plug the mass air plug back into the air box?

Thanks dude! I feel like i was taken for a ride:cry: Any suggestion on any any upgrade for the non-turbo talon!! I have been thinking of buying a cold air intake but i can not find one for my 94 talon es!! Also since i am new to the forum what is the diffand which one is difference between second and first generations and which one do i have? I have a k&n air-filter already!!!

difference between 1g and 2g na's is about 5-10 hp.

you have a 1g, and 94's have cali emissions :mad:

your 1g is a 4g63 and a 2g is a 420a motor.

thanks dude so i guess i do not have as much hp as i like! Its a shame when my motocycle has more hp than my car!! What can i do to get a little kore ump in my car!! I would like to get close to 200hp as possible without using nitro put i will probably pt a 50 shot on sooner or later!!!

2 words: boost it

Turbos=fun.

Read through the threads here (spend all day doing it) and you will get some ideas for how to increase your performance.

Well, to get to 200HP you might as well forget about NT unless you have lots of cash to spend. I also bought one of these mods and think that it could work if I could find the IAT sensor wire and tap into them. I did a pocket log of my car on a drive without the mod and want to install it to see if there is any difference in power. More fuel at WOT doesn't necessarily mean less power. It could provide more power if your running lean at WOT after doing mods to your car. As long as you have good air intake and a catback I think this mod would provide extra HP. I'll let you know if I find the correct wires to tap. Couldn't find em yet on the vfaq. Also, the mod I bought is in an enclosed box and I'm not sure if it's a resistor or some type of circuit board.

Its a circuit board i ave seen them for motorcycles!! I have heard good and bad things about them but hey its a learning process! It took me 3 years to get my zx-12r running the way i wanted it to and i tried every little trick some worked some didn't!! I fyou would though please keep me posted!! How much did you pay for the box:confused:

talones94, you are indeed correct that at WOT, if the car is lean and timing is pulled due to knock, more fuel will mean more power. The problem with that is, your car is not lean at WOT. Cali emmisions or no. About the only car that is in recent history as far as I know is the LS1 engine in the 98 and up F bodies. They would not pass emmisions with the fuel needed to run hard so they leaned the cars out pretty bad. The resistor "thingy" will hinder the performance of your ride significantly as well I imagine because not only is it going to be richer at WOT, it will be richer from idle to redline because the IAT sensor provides constant input unlike the O2 sensor which only samples at all positions other than WOT.

Wow and I just grabbed one of those resistors too......Glad I read this and dont waste any more of my time......
