I was just talkin mad #@%#@%#@%#@% to my friend that told me he's gonna smoke my ass in a race with his 1987 honda prelude special edition.. he's claimin it has 170HP.. this true>??

not sure but i dont think it is stock with that many ponies any way its an 87 you should be able to take him.

Preludes are pretty quick cars. I beat a VR6 Jetta with an 86 prelude, had dual carbs. Revved the piss out of it but I wouldn't let him pass on the shoulder. You should be able to beat him, these cars are faster.

i looked up his car specs and it's 0-60mph in 8 seconds..
what does a 92 n/t talon do it in.?? i couldn't find the specs for our cars.. if ours is is ne thing less than 8.5 i ain't worried at all

just to update everyone..
i raced the 87 prelude tonight and missed 2nd gear..(bad tranny)
put it this way.. i should have raced him in reverse.. i thought preludes were supposed to be fast?? boy who was i kidding

yea you really never can tell if a honda is fast or not till you race it. Good kill. 87 is before vtec I would think it would take alot of work to get that much hp out of a 110 hp n/a 87 engine.

the kid tells me he has 170HP
i look up specs on internet.. i find 86 special edition prelude with exhuast, headers and intake and his best 1/4 time was 17.9 seconds and his hp was 97 wheel hp... HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAH
