Me and my dad went and had the exhaust priced on my car today. We started thinking about other options, like dual exhaust. If there is room we were thinkin of getting a small muffler from flowmaster and putting it on in place of one of the resonators, then having the guy run a 2.5" pipe then split it and have 1 pipe on each side of the bumper. This would look decent since my laser has no specific cut holes in the bumper for a muffler. But, my question is, do you think there would be enough room under the car for a muffler? Thinkin about a low profile muffler. 3-4" thick. Any info would be appreciated.

Go with 2.5" from the Cat back, and please do not go with dual cans, a single can is surely engough for a 4-banger. Dual cans equals rice and this will result in people kicking/throwing rocks/cursing at it. just my .02

do what ever you want man..... there would be no performance benefits of going with 2 tailpipes, but if you do decide to, go with a regular type muffler, not one that goes right at the end, and split 2 pipes of the end with some nice tips.......if your going 2.5 inch to the split, don't go with 2x2.5" pipes after the split.......maybe 2 inch or smaller, then a nice tip off each end.
i personally would not, and everyone has there one opinion about it....and you may get a better response in the non performance forum...but good luck with whatever you decide.
are you and your dad goin to be making it yourselves or are you have a shop do it?
my exhaust is 2 1/4" all the way back, with no cat, one glassspack resinator and a magnaflow straight-thru muffler on the end in the stock spot..... helped quite a bit for high end, and no loss with low end. 2.5 without a cat could hurt your low end depending on your muffler choice.
