anyone have any experience with Faster Than You's 2.4L engine for the 420A? if not, does anyone at least know about how much power these engines put out and if there are any readily available turbo kits to go with them? thanks

well after hearing how much of a bi*** it is to due this swap and how hard it is for someone who is doing it for the first time, i have decided to go with the 2.2L swap since that is supposed to be a drop in and hold more power than a rebuilt bottom end

Well the 2.4L is just a block that you put your head on, so any turbo kit for the 420a (star or Hahn) will work but you will have to modify the piping because the block is 1 inch taller than the 2.0L. There is a lot of custom work that you will have to do as well, like motor mount fabrication, rotating the cam magnet, and re doing the coil signals. It is a LOT of work to get a 2.4L into your 2.0L engine bay. It can be done but will be a pain in the ass. There will be down time and it could be down for months. If you are not very experienced with the motor then I would not attempt this one.

yea i heard that on 2gnt which is why im leaning more towards the 2.2L right now

It seems that if FTY does in fact sell this 2.4 block, they should also make an install kit for it to make things easier.
