Howto install indiglo gauges

I have a quick one...i got reverse indiglos for my car, and i dont know if they lay over the existing gauges or if i have to remove the old faces? sorry for such a dumb question, but im in a hurry!! thanks alot guys

well there is nothing quick about that insrall, take your time, you should take off the stock set and then place the indiglo's in. Just DO NOT ground to the back of the gauge panel ANYWHERE. I shorted my fuel gauge like that, but other than that it is pretty easy and straight forward.

a lot of people say to ground to the parking lights, how do you do that? do you go through the fuse panel and find the wires? also, would i have to cut those wires?

another thing...now where my temp gauge is, it doesnt light up anymore. is there any way i could have messed that up by just touching the dash panel? how could i try to replace that light?

it might of shorted if you touched the wrong wire somewhere, just check the fuses and the bulbs, i grounded my indiglo gauges to the metal of the car, no problems and i removed the stock ones of course.

yeah ground to the body or car, no problem there but it sounds to me like you shorted something out already.

i finally got them in...found out reverse indiglos are different (thats what i got). I wired the positive to the fog light switch and grounded it to a screw in the steering column...theyre mad nice, AC Autotechnic...I'd recommend them to anyone. Thanks for the help.
