Can it be done????????

All I have to say is GOOD LUCK! I don't think anyone naturally aspirated has yet to create a 2.0L non turbo (aka: 420a) that has over 200 WHP! Not to say it can not be done.....but good luck. It'll be easy with a turbo though and a heck of a lot cheaper!

Yeah, it would be more bragging rights. Your best shot would be a completely built engine running higher compression, all your basic bolt-ons, and nitrous.....without the nitrous I doubt you'll make it over 230 WHP. Our cars come stock with 140 HP to the crank, but dynoed the WHP is actually around 112 WHP, so that's over 100 HP to the wheels you're going to have to create, so like I said before GOOD LUCK! If you DO do it, please post your 1/4 ETA and dyno results...I'd be curious to see what a fully built 420a with all the stuff mentioned above would have.

very doable!!!! try runnin 13's all day long w/ just a 75 hit of gas daily driven. im sure i can run mid 14's without it and there's still more that i can do. if it wasnt for the damn rain everytime i get to the track i would post some videos. im attempting one more time this weekend

I personally need to see some proof of your track runs because there are guys that have done just about all you have and can barely make it past mid 15's with a 60 ft. time of about 1.9 - 2.0 seconds (which is REALLY damn good on a FWD car). One of the guys has been a DSM shootout winner and he only does mid 15's....not saying it can't be done, but I'll believe it when I see it.

15.589 @ 88.22 MPH
2001 DSM Shootout Winner - NT Class

Modifications: GS-T muffler, Iceman cold air intake, AFX underdrive pulley, Brospeed header, Apexi Super AFC, Extrude Honed intake manifold, KYB AGX shocks, Powerslot front rotors, Porterfield R4S front brake pads, and occationally Mazda RX-7 rims with 225/50VR16 Michelin Pilot SX-GT tires

this guy is on 2gnt and thats what he has and thats what he runs.
now try adding a stage 3 ported and polished head, crane nitrous grind cams, fidanza gears, 10.5:1 comp pistons, eagle rods, ss valves and tell me i cant run a 14 without NOS. to add to that there is nothing in my car right now except for 2 seats and a dash board. all my car audio, back seats, carpet, and door panels are in my house being worked on. like i said im going to the track tomorrow if it doesnt rain. the last 2 times i tried to get proof it rained. i will post up a video and timeslips to show you. it can be done especially when there are all motor hondas runnin 10's. i know your not hatin and you just want proof but dont knock it till you see it.

Hey that sounds like you know what your doin. Do you know the right cams i could get? Check my mods and get back with me. And i want to go all motor also!! There are just too many bragin rights in it!!!
