I am considering building my 420a. I want to go the turbo route with it. I would like to turn it into a 2.2 and make it hold 30-35 psi. Would the Howell Automotive kit be able to handle this much or would I have to go with something different.

Look into Modern performance.com first before you buy from howell i have heard and read nothing but bad about customer service with them. I am also in the works of building my bottom end as well on the 420A. I am going away from the Turbo set up though for some reason, i have been researching a lot on those bottom end kits and a lot of people are running a 150 shot of nos on it, so i would think(don't take my word for it) it would run great for a turbo set up.

It all depends on the turbo. 30psi on one is very different from 30psi on others. A better way to ask this question is with HP numbers. Find out what 30psi would be on your turbo then we can find out if it will hold it. From what I know the howell 2.2L in my car should be good up to about 750 HP or so they say.

If the Howell bottom end kit can hold 750hp then I will probably get it, because 750hp is way more than I was shooting for. Thanks for the help.

I wasnt really paying attention when I typed that. I totally forgot about the 30psi on one turbo is different from the rest because different ones flow different volumes of air. The horsepower is what I meant to say. I know the stock internals are o.k. up to about 300 hp, but I was wanting something that could hold up to alot of horsepower between 500 and 600 I know that sound like a lot but it never hurts to try.
