UDP owners please read

Does an UDP have any side affects like slowing the accessories down too much? So bad that the a/c or pumps will not work? Anyone experience any bad side affects after installing their UDP?

Ive had mine on for like a month now also and it slows the air a lil but not much. The power gains were sweet. I was stoked, It gave me power throughout the whole band and I really needed some low end power.

The downsides of an UDP are not really that noticeable. It slows the speed of the power steering pump, a/c compressor and the altenator. So if you have a system, use the a/c alot, or plan on autocrossing you may experience a little less assistance from those components. The other downside, htat I've not heard anyone experiencing yet, is that the original vibration dampener does just that. It reduces engine vibrations that can basically... shake the engine to death in time. These vibrations are reduced by the rubber that's in the original dampener. I have an UDP pulley and have not found any problems yet. The battery did just die but it was the original and at 75,000 miles I don't think I could have asked it to last any longer with or without the UDP. I'll let ya'll know if my engine vibrates itself to death but I don't expect that will be any day soon.
