Car feels sluggish

After I launch from around 3000 rpm, my car goes hard and gains rpm quickly, until it hits 4000 then it gains very slow to around 5500 and then it takes off again. It only does this in 1st gear. My mods are minimal, cai, msd ignition & coil, 2.5" exhaust. Any ideas? It's been awhile since I last changed the plugs but it doesn't really feel like that, I mean no jumping, sputtering or hesitation. It just gains rpm really slow in this range. How can I fix it?

Hey-

I don't really know... how slow are we talking about? Is it like 4 times as slow as usual, or just a little bit slower. It might just be your imagination too... I don't know... I just wanted to reply cuz I hate it when nobody responds to posts.

It's not 4 time as slow but still pretty slow. It's very noticable. Thanks for the reply btw.
