I have a 99' RS (manual). I know this might be a stupid question but what is the trick to having a good launch off the line. Here's a list of my mods if that has anything to do w/ it (Intake/Greddy 4-1 Header/Greddy Evo Cat-Back)

4 grand? thats a bit to much. when i had my 95 n/t i would spin to much...i would say keep it above 3k but below 4k but dont hold the gas down between there....just let go, press, let go press, just keep revving it up and let it fall rev up and let it fall than when the light turns green make sure your between 3k and 4k. worked best for me.Later

Yep, that should do it...

Revv some where around 3000 rpm, let go the clucth by slipping it, and accelerate at the same time, this has been said before: It takes practice, but results are good, then on your future mods get suspension works for even better traction...

i always do it between 4500 and 5000 and lightly let go of the clutch and my tires dont peel much, but i dont know thas just me...:thumb:

i rev it to 4500 and let out really fast....not quite a dump tho but not like feathering it out. I beat almost everyone off the line. Although i do have new tires which helps with the traction. But this launch has gotten me some 15.6's with intake and exhaust and an underdrive pulley

3 grand you have to feather the clutch to keep the power up and not bog. 4 grand you have to feather the clutch to not spin from too much power. I always have more than enough power launching from 4k, so 3500 or even 3000 is more realistic for everyday stoplight launching.
