I was just curious to know if anyone could tell me the spec change when I would remove my stock intake and put a injen intake one with a K&N. THe K&N is in right now but I wanted to know how many HP I may gain from the intake? 4-5? It is just for a SOHC 1.8l N/T

The gain, I would say.. about 5 yes, but it just looks so damn good inside the engine Good Luck.

well i don't have a 1.8l or a 1g i have a 2gnt 2.0l and i had the short injen on for quite some time with a dual cone k&n and it sounded mean as shit once u hit 3k rpm. i mean it was like scary kinda mean for a 4 cyl. just last night i installed the extension now that the weather isn't so wet and the temps are hotter. and it has a totally different sound.. its a low rumble until like 4k then it just screams like a banshee.. and it looks nice with the polished alum and red fittings. it's definately worth the money, make 3rd gear feel like 2nd! just be careful installing a non injen filter with the injen intake, u might have some fitment problems just make sure ur filter is on there really tight. other than that it's worth it. oh yea install (after i had to move my alarm siren) was a breeze even at 10pm.

I think the filter that comes with the injen is actually made by k&n.

ya it is a k&n, i put one on my 1g 2.0l and it came with one. it probably made about 5 hp. it sounds pretty cool too when u get to about 4000 rpms.

I dont know how to get around my MAS!! it is driving me crazy i need a filter on my behemoth of a mas cuz the car wont start if there isnt a filter on it. and the freakin thing is HUGE!!! i definately need some tips on how to rig up my intake.. where can i get an injen. does it come with a MAS for my 1.8??
