Still messed up! help !!!

Changed the plugs to Ngk from Bosch and still have rev problem, starts farting backfiring at 5500+ rpms, but i notice in the fist 2 gears it wont do it if im at half throttle or not full throttle but it obviously takes longer to get there! whats the deal come on guys help me out!

ah? can sumone be specific this time about what plugs and wires i need then dont just say Ngk, I got the single prong ones but i dont see why a ####in spark plug would make that huge difference i mean the stock onese didnt and there single prong

Sounds like you have bad plug wires and need to replace them. If you start misfiring and it takes a long time to get RPM at wide open throttle.

Stock are BKR6E-11, go with the BKR5E-11 and gap them at .050

Wires...

Get a set of Magnacore and you'll be good.

If you run into problems trying to get the hotter plugs, just tell them you need plugs for a 1998 Mazda Protege with the 1.5 and you'll get the right ones.
