K&N Cone Filter K&N Cone Filter

K&N Cone Filter
Does anybody know if it is possible to attach a K&N cone filter directly to the stock plastic hose. By possible I mean is it worth my time or would I be better off spending a few more bucks and getting a short ram kit.

Has anyone tried this or have comments, please let me know.
