High Flow Cat!

do I need 2.5" exhaust for 2.5" CAT or when they said bolt directly to stock means it'll fit to stock

Just a little word of advise when you put that high flow cat on you will most likely loss power. I know i did.. too much back pressure loss. It also set off my O2 sensor. of course if you are planing on going turbo just live with it for a little while

An NT will lose a little bit of torque at low rpms b/c the exhaust gas isn't moving fast enough to fill the bigger pipe. It will, however, flow better at the top end.

I'll either turbo or up compression later, is why im goin 2.5". I'm changing out the CAT because seems like it's already falling apart in there, it rattled. As far as the CEL, it's already on :( , but when I get my exhaust, I'll just tie it outside and hope that doesn't set off the CEL after I get my current CEL issue fixed:D . By the way, if anyone got 2.5" from CAT to AXLE only, I want it at a reasonable price too. I'll try to get an axle back with some dual tip ~ I like DTM style, but straight instead of angled up. thanx

the only place ur gonna get one that is not way over priced is on ebay or used on the forums or at dsmtrader.com. everywhere else is t he biggest rip off n ur just buying the name. someone will prolly post something like i had a cheap one off ebay then i got a name brand and i felt the difference, but dont listen becuase thats bs. and i might get some hate off this post. but hey its my 2 cents.

i put a pacesetter 4-2-1 ceramic coat header on w/ a stock cat and 2.5 in cat back, it ran like sh!t!!! good bottom end but no top end, it stopped pulling at about 5,200rpms. i then ordered up a dynomax 2.5 in high flow cat ($80.50) and installed it w/ 2.5 in pipe, the power increase was very noticeable. my powerband is strong from 2,200rpm the whole way to fuel cut-off. if you do your exhaust system right, your power band will not suffer in any way. 4-1 headers are basically the same as the stock manifold design, but jusy flow alot better, seeing that they flow better they will decrease your low end torque, but not by much.a 4-2-1 header will increase your low end torque at the cost of top end power...unless you have a complete high flowing exhaust system after the header, as i do.
