After getting new tires and hitting a bad pot hole. Causing both front wheel bearings to go, and taking a inner tie rod too. I went to go get an alignment and come to find out it also took a lower ball joint.

So I got home and searched for new control arms and figured I might as well replace them all. Got everything ordered and it came in today. opened everything up and seemed good. Then I got the upper control arms out and kinda got pissed a little.

These look weak as hell and I see bending way to easy. :barf:

Are these for real. Should I put them on my car. Yes I know its a 420a blah blah but it is really low and I am planning on autocrossing it this summer.

Friend of mine has been running them for 2 years with no issues and he has a manual that he drives like he stole. I thought the same thing when I help put them on but go figure, they're still holding up fine and the balljoint is still tight and not sloppy. I'm sure there are much better options out there for autocross.

That's good to know theft have worked for him. Just seems weird cause I can twist them with my hands so no telling what the car can do.

Just wondering if I should even put them on my car. My upper ball joints are fine right now just figured I would replace everything so I won't have to worry about it down the road.

they will work fine. not as nice as the boxed in version that you might get from the dealer or even orlieys, but they will do.

Seems like your torn, I would go find an OEM Box set, as you don't want your confidence in your ride to drop, I recently had my ball joint fail twice dropping my car on the ground both times at speed, and now my confidence is gone, wish I could get it back! Every turn I take, I can't but help thinking of my car skidding down the road uncontrollable.

I will never ever put another autozone part on my car that can break and kill me.

I didn't get them off eBay. I can't remember the name of the website. I'll have to see if I can do some digging. I searched forever before I found them. Was about $200 for the whole kit but I was ready to receive cheap Chinese crap just didn't thing it would be this bad.
