ok i have a 2g with internals and a 50trim. wally, vortech fmu, 577cc injectors and or 440cc and everything i need. my question is for the tune issue.
Can you install a fcd and sfac2 both. simple question. or do i just need to install one of them. my aim is for 12 to 15psi daily driver nothin special.

1. Just the SAFC2
2. Just the Fuel Cut Defender.

I also have a missing link but reading up; i heard those are a issue itself. Ima use the 577cc injectors as it will provide as much fuel as i need at anytime. but then again im sure the 42lb injectors will be fine. can some one help me out with this ###? I just need to know which one can they both be used or just one or the other. My thought was they would conflict with each other.

you can install both. the safc will allow you to dial in your fuel trims and the fcd i believe takes place of the missing link so you dont need that. most important thing tho do you have a wideband?

so i can install the safc and not have to worry about the fcd period. but what about the map signal and hittin boost. will it map clamp the signal. i found this diagram on how to install both. but like i said im aiming for high 12 to 15psi so just wanna know if i do use the safc2 will it be enough to control and map clamp the signal without causing a conflict.

so if i can install botrh fcd and safc2 whats the proper install for it. wiring wire which goes first and second to and from ecu.

All the SAFC does for the 420a cars is allow you to scale back big injectors at idle and out of boost, think about it. The SAFC tricks the ecu into seeing a different airflow signal(in your case MAP) than what it really has. Trick to this is that when the 420a ecu see's positive pressure it freaks out and cuts fuel, which is why you need an FCD(fuel cut denfender). Well if the FCD is doing its job then your ecu never see's positive pressure, so once your in boost you can't add any more fuel. This is why you need an FMU. If you REALLY wanted to use the SAFC I would HIGHLY recommend you do the conversion to allow it to adjust fuel by boost instead of RPM(the write up is on 2gnt.com somewhere) or you could by an SFMU and tweak your fuel curve that way. Sounds like you have a lot of reading to do, we are just here to point you in the right direction!

Missing link OR FCD, although some people run both saying it protects the map sensor, I see no need for both. The diagram is different for a 420a vs a 4g63 so make sure your looking up the correct one and if you decide to do the boost mod then again its a different diagram.

What good would a 3 bar map sensor do? The OEM ECU couldn't read that...

OMG i know what they do and i know what im doin my question is can i install BOTH of them. or do i use just one. i have a vortech FMU and i have a fcd. if i use the safc2 do i need to use the fcd also or no thats all. i have boosted a 420a many times before.
SIMPLE QUESTION can they both be used. or do i use both for tuning as im using a fmu what do i use the safc2 or the fcd. just.
OK DID i ask that simple enough. I have a FMU from vortech so in that case which one do i use the fcd or the safc2.

Hey you don't live that far from me.:) And yes install both if you want its just added safety precaution.

thank you simple NOW DOES ANYONE KNOW THE CORRECT WAY TO INSTALL THEM BOTH. they use the same wire so im sure someone has used them both. is the diagram i posted the right way to install them both or is there a certain way to wire them up;.
my first question was answerd so now just last question is how to wire them both up. not anything else but HOW. which wires go where and to what. i know they use a yellow and black wire. and they both need to be tied into the same wire so which connects first or both at the same time

id
you can see my neon swap; srt and how i swap; my eclipse to a srt also

I answered your question, now you can search and figure out which wires are what.

### dont be a ass about it, i been up all night literally and closes thing i got was the diagram i posted. is it right or now. im just looking for verification thats all. i know how to search but the search isnt given me the verification i want. tells me this and that yea and other stuff but i wanna be ver sure not just ok this will work for now. first time go. so if you know im not askin for a handout im just askin is it right or not or if not simple answer this goes before that. which goes beforee what.
i had placed it wrong so i know i have to go back and redue it. in series.
i had it both in goin to ecu and both out but i stopped cause it didnt seem right, felt like that would be a big conflict in gcd and safc so i looked up and alot says in series, but generally they say more for the supra and toyota nothin specific on the 420a. i dont wanna wire this up tryna follow a supra diagram cause every cars dif.

everything already wired up im just stuck on 1 wire which they both use. yellow and black. so if they go in series which would be
first safc fcd then ecu or
fcd safc then ecu.

No ones being an Ass.. people are trying to help you.. and give advice.. but we cant and wont hold your hand.. especially since your charging people to work on their car. Everything has been documented and easily findable on Google, 2g, or here.. If you cant find it, then that your sign.

My vote is to ditch SAFC and go SFMU. Keep in mind, the FMU he has, is unmarked, so no ones sure what ratio its setup for, other than some "this guy said" documentation..Thats important info he left out.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDklnhcaB6A]my video proof that 420a turbo does not need fcd or missing link or megasquirt. just fmu - YouTube[/ame]

i seen this video and i had to put it up in here LOL just dont be like this guy.

id like to thank all of you guys for yall support and help, in takin the time to help me out. im not one to just sit and wait for answers but mostly after looking for so long i get frustrated and would like a point in the right direction. after calling a few places ive came to the conclusion to what ima do and for now ima leave it as is and wait till i get my MS up and running. its a load of confusing but thats moding for you. as far as the safc im not using it. the fcd and fmu is what i was told will be good until i get what i need and then ill just do away with all that and run it like it should be ran. i was helping someone out last night someone doin the same wire up and installed his safc to his fcd and just left it alone. we have the same type of mods just he has a baby turbo and a 2.0 compared to my 2.4 swap with srt internals. Thank you, i dont mean to be a ass or anal about this simple find. and the last person that took the time to find what i was looking for thank you. i do appreciate it. ima had him the info and let him go from there, as for me ima just go what i need to and do it right the first time.
peace love and hair grease.
