420A Quick fuel rail ?

I have a 96 eclipse rs (NOV 95)

Do I have the rail 95 or 96+

I think the PO might have switched it out because it is leaking bad. Mine has the FPR on the left side. I am thinking he put a 95 one in. Do I need to other kind?

I don't know much about the fuel rail, but i do know that if the diaphragm ruptures you can spew fuel out through there.

Sorry, I get busy.

Ok your 96 should have the fpr back by the rear passenger tire, so you would not have anything on the rail. Just a test port. Take a look under there to be sure. You should have a fuel filter and small fpr that goes off that. It will be under the car but in front of the passenger rear tire. I know of no 96 that came with an fpr on the rail (and there should be none. They are only for the 95. BUT that doesn't mean that there is something really weird about your particular car. But again it should NOT have an fpr on the rail). if you have an fpr and fuel filter back by the rear tire, then you are ok with the 96 rail you have.

As for the vac source, obviously you won't need one for the 96 rail. So if there is a line that goes there, just block it off with a cap at the three way.

Sounds like you may have a "work in progress"

Thanks for all the help bullet. I jacked the car up and at the fuel filter there is a black FPR above it (bigger than the one on the rail). Does that confirm that I need to put a 96+ rail on?

ALSO, where do I buy a fuel feed line oring for the rail?

Yup, you got a 96 and up set-up.

O-ring? Oddly, never had to buy one, LOL. JNZ/dealer etc. would be easiest choice.

Well here are the pictures finally. Also I am having a hard time getting the injectors to stay on the new rail. I am using the old clips from the other rail (maybe thats why?)

You can see on the side a FPR (I have one under the gas tank so that made 2 haha). Also there was a nipple that the PO blocked off.

In the end I believe the diaphragm on the FPR was leaking (bad!) but no worries as I am swapping rails.
