what the title says...whats the cheapest but most effective muffler for a 2gnt?

Is the Muffler what makes Power, I think its the pipeing back to the muffler if toy want a cheep muffler 100 at pep boys will get you one of them ### ass Chrome Mufflers, you know the ones you see on all the wanna be tunners.......... but you might as well stay stock if you not looking to spend a lot of money.....

hey dim., ill be selling my old Tsudo muffler pretty soon b/c ill be getting the Apex'i N1 and new straight piping all around, i could sell ya the Tsudo for 50-75$, i bought it for 120$ at Toyko Image

Check ebay for mufflers. You can get any style for around $50. I got a dual canister DTM. It's low pitched (doesn't sound like a bumblebee), and loud as hell. I certainly wouldn't pay 100 for a muffler, or 600 for a cat back. Buy an ebay muffler and have a local exhaust shop put on some bigger pipes. It'll save ya lot's of cash

I've got a bosal brospeed right now, that's going to be on the end of pacestter 2.5" catback piping later on this year (gotta get some 17s first)

Everybody loves my bosal, it sounds real nice. Back when my friend had his weapon-r he liked that too.

Hell i see why you wouldnt feel anything, you bought your stuff from pep boys

umm that might be for the first gens, but for the second gens u do feel something when putting on a muffler. i have a magnaflow muffler and i got it it installed for about 200, and it has a nice tone, and i did get some performance gains out of it. But a bit of advice do not buy from auto zome or pep boys considering they just sell rice and there crappy products. If i were you, i would go to local muffler shops and see what deal u could get.

i didn't buy shit from pep boys, just gave him an opinion where it's cheap....and muffler gave you power???? ok

And yes it did. i get alot of compliments from mechanics who have driven my car. i would like to know what muffler u have? Ive heard on 2gnt.com about the apex n1 muffler giving good performance, and i've also heard magnoflow give good perfamnce on other cars. and yes if u do just put a muffler on our cars, you will feel a slight difference.

prove it, dyno it and prove that your muffler gave you any gains ahahahha......i sold all my performance stuff, wtf did i waste $600 on intake headers exhaust and saw maybe 15 hp gain to this I still don't know.....turbo is the only way to go

first of all i have a 2nd gen and u have a first gen. It seems like u seem a little bitter. Hell id be bitter too if there werent many perfomance mods for my car. let me guess you have the 1.8 sohc. And you got 15 hp, hell thats 15 more horsepower than u had before. If u were a true tuner, you wouldnt give someone advice to buy perfomance mods from pep boys or autozone. Everyone knows those stores are for picking up little things like (oil, fuses, and light bulbs, defenietly not performance mods).

Notice he said cheap and best, so i would assume cheap with quality. A better suggestion would be a custon job by a muffler shop

ok...change of topic kinda. which muffler puts out the best Sound? i dont want it sounding too ricey or whatever, but i wanna be heard i guess. so yeah, best sounding muffler?
