Well I first got the idea from this site: http://www.teamdelsol.com/howto/coldair/diycoldair.htm
but that's for a del Sol so I began taking measurements of my bay and kicking some ideas over. So I thought to myself how could I get the most performance even if it means it looks bad... Well the other night I got an idea to use radiator hose for the pipe alowing less bends and the bends wont be too bad. Plus radiator hose has its own insulation and it's reinforced with steel wires. So if I can find about a 3in. peice then I'll be ready... After that I'll run the hose all the way down to the bottom bumper right behind the opening... (92 eclipse) This will allow for coldest air. I will also heat rap the tubing. After that I'll use hose clamps or rubber PVC pipe clamps. This is all in theory at the moment I still need to do some more research and I will pull the old CAI out of my car and really look for the best options... The biggest thing is the radiator hose and whether that will work or not... Otherwise I'll use mandrel bent steel piping with the same ideas (That'll just be more work). I'll go K&N then... They sound good... What benifits do they offer over the rest?

Put this way man, you can go buy a HKS filter, for like 150 dollars, or you can buy K&N, which is good enough for a NT, for 40. I mean seriously, they have a 1 million mile warantee on those filters, if your crap breaks, they will replace it, no questions asked. Very good customer service. The flow though in the K&N is better then any other filter out there, I just would think HKS filter would be a really high flow filter[assuming on price].
