GS-T Exhaust on a GS

Anybody out there in DSM land ever put a GS-T exhaust on a GS? Did it provide and increases or decreses. Or if you have any feedback? Good, bad, or ugly! let me know.

I love it. For the cost ($50) this is probably one of the best mods you can do. I replaced my aftermarket exhaust with it and it seems to be almost better then my aftermarket exhaust. The only reason I swapped was because I drive 600+ miles a week and the noise was killing me. The GS-T exhaust is definately a little meaner/groanier but not loud at all. It has a little rumble to it that is very ear pleasing.

They say the gst exhaust is the best for price and power for a N/A eclipse but I have a Tanabe racing medailion for a gst on my RS The reason why I got it is because I know I was going turbo later on and will be turning up the boost.

just curious, whats the diameter on a stock turbo exhaust?

Diameter of what part? The exhaust piping or the muffler. The piping is probably 2", maybe a hair more or hair less. I'm not pushing the power to need anything huge yet so I havn't measured.

Evulflea why didnt you just get one of those mufflers with a removable silence like the n1 mufflers if you were sick of the noise.

Have you ever heard one of those with the silencer in? I think it sounds like it's choking for air and sounds like sh't. The GS-T I'm sure will sound much much meaner then any exhaust with a plug stuck in it.

Plus it was only $10 + my stock RS muffler hehe

But whats the point of putting one on if their is no difference in the diameter from a rs or the gst exhaust.How can you gain any power if its the same exhaust but with two resinators and a different stock muffler.

the Exhausts on 2g cars are the same with these exceptions.

AWD have a diff exhaust routing cuz of AWD

GST has a diff muffler than a Non-turbo...THATS IT.

The only difference between an exhuast on a turbo eclipse and a non-turbo eclipse is the muffler. The muffler on a tubo eclipse is a better flowing mufler, almost as good as aftermarket straight through mufflers. you only need the rear section o f the exhaust. i got mine for $30. So its a cheap mod that is quite nice. sounds diff and you will notice a small diff.

The piping may be the same but the muffler design/flow/restriction is not. The muffler greatly outflows the stock RS/GS muffler. RS/GS's stock exhaust piping is pretty damn beefy considering it's a 115whp car. I don't think exhaust has to be a first mod. Infact not even first 5 mods.
