Faulty O2 Sensor???

Recently, i brought in my car for an oilchange and they told me i needed new pads and calippers so since i need my car back soon, i had then do it and while they were changing that, the did a computer diagnostics test and found that something MAY be faulty withth O2 censor. All this crap is costing me $600 right now, (i know im getting raped but its my first car, and i dont know waht else to do...) so what should i do about the o2 censor???? I told then just to clear out the codes and ill just pay for all the work done so far... They did tell me a new o2 censor would cost about 230 from mitsubishi so is there a way around all this... I dont feel like getting raped again, its not fun.. thanks

they are full of shit!!! the dealer here want's 130 for the upstream o2 sensor(one on the downpipe) for the 420a motor(non turbo 2nd gen) and only like 90 for the 4g63 version. check around with mitsu dealers and also check back here.

what is that supposed to mean, i have and rs, and not alot of money at all, im lucky i could borrow money to pay for all this stuff... If i have the money and know how, i would do alot to my car, but i dont have either of those. I dont have to pay for the window, it was their fault. My car is in very good condition again now, and im very happy with it. I just dont get what you mean when you say by your comment...

i was saying it as in, "paying $250 for an o2 sensor is like paying for two". i too have a rs eclipse. i love my car, but i meant nothing by that comment in a negative way. i know different people quote different prices on parts. each mitsu dealer i called for the o2 sensor gave me a different price.

carmax: 125
team mitsu: 150
northpoint mitsu: 140
thorton mitsu: 165

so i'm guessing the people doing the work on your car got a high quote plus they charge to unscrew it, and screw in a new one. still a little pricey but hey, what can you say.

that dude is crazy!!! he tells me "spandex is a privilege, not a right" it tells you stuff about your ip, you isp, windows version, and web brouwser. i guess it goes by that and then says something about the area you are in. i'm in ga, so what's up with the spandex comment?
