Ok... Spring is just around the corner and I have PLENTY of money saved up from the winter time, and I cant keep it in my pocket any longer... Ive made a huge list of stuff I plan on getting soon (like within the next month or so), and my goal is to hit about 170hp or so on the dyno... The total comes to about $3000... And dont say buy a turbo, because thats already in the works (so just keep that in mind with whats list below) Do you think it will be enough to hit my goal??

- 420a crankscraper (i figured what the hell)

Thats the list that I have so far... Comment however youd like, because Im still open to any suggestions, like if I might be missing something... I already put a post like this up on 2gnt and have changed the list from the suggestions there... Thanks guys, appreciate it...

i know u said not to say turbo but a turbo will put u well above all of these and will be cheaper.. then u can rebuild and get down and dirty.

The turbo will be commin right after I get all this done first, just to make really long story first... I have to rebuild with atleast 180whp (no nos) then ill be gettin the hanh stage II...

I think it might get you to 170, but not 180, not unless you add an exhaust too and maybe something else, but I didnt count the drop in HP your going to get from the lower compression pistons....sounds like a good idea to me though

I'd say you might get 130-140whp, if that. You have to understand, that those forged pistons don't add horsepower but just increase the amount of power your engine can hold. If anything those pistons will lower your power because you're lowering your compression.

yeah I am doing the same thing. Im going to buy the bottom end rebuild with the long rods because howell told me the turbos love it. and im going to port my head and intake at the same time. Then put a stage 2 kit dont know star or hahn yet and I think i will be quite happy because then you can run all the boost you can on those forged internals. we could be pushing 300whp with a few more mods!
