My mom has been complaining about a ticking noise in her '98 Eclipse GS for quite a few months now, and after reading about crankwalk, it seems like that could be it. What engine is in that car? And does anybody know the best way to find out if it has crankwalk or not?

Should I rebuild it before turboing it, only reason Iam asking if the enigne is not made to run a turbo I might have to rebuild it if the engine only has 20k on it.

not unless you want to run high psi. The 420a is a better engine then the 4g63 and runs faster than a gs-t or a gs-x when it is boosted. Without doing your internals you could run 8psi safely.

Most cases (almost all) on dsms are 2g turbo cars, especially 95-98 and especially 97's.
