OKay im having a problem with my rear tires. I know part of the reason is becasue its lowered or maybe thats the whole reason. the tops of the rear tires are tilted inward a little and the front of the tires are facing inward a little making my tired wear bald after a few thousand miles. will a camber kit fix both of these problems?

Nope. The camber kit will fix the top tilting inwards.

The reason they are angles inwards if you look at the tire from the front of the car (kind of looks like it's duck footed) is because the toe is off. This is what kills tires faster, not the camber issue. The toe should be at zero and you don't need anything extra to adjust toe.

Yes, they can fix the toe if you get an alignment. But if you want the camber issue fixed, I would figure out a solution for that before taking it, that way you don't have to pay multiple times.

If you do some searching on here, there's a DIY rear camber kit which includes buying new, longer bolts and some washers to use as shims.

that i dont know how to do. my tires arent wearing wrong. they are even all across but wearing way to fast. so maybe if i just get an alignment i wont have to worry about the other problem. i have 18 inch rims so it sucks buying new tires every other week. i think its lowered 2 or 3 inches.

Yeah, that's your toe being way off. The tires are pointing inward on eachother and it scrubs them very rapidly.

The excessive camber causes the toe to be thrown out of whack. You can get the toe readjusted by an alignment but the excessive camber will still shred the inner edges of the tires.

Get the camber fixed first and realign everything, you'll stop chewing through tires like they're going out of style

okay the DIY camber kit seems like the way im going to go. beats about 70+ dollars on ebay. how do i check the camber after i put the camber in to see if i need more or less washers?

A level or pendulum, level surface, and a tape measure.

Alternatively, (preferably?) you could get the vehicle professionally aligned at an alignment or race shop.

yes im going to get an alignment but i want to make sure the camber is close before i get the toe fixed so i dont have to worry about another alignment. what do i do with the tape mesaure. is there something i put the tape againt and measure to a certain point and need a certain measure?

i did notice though that the front of my vehicle doesnt really have a problem.

The front of 2G's actually like having a bit of negative camber, I never touched mine after dropping the front of my car. It slightly wears the inside of the tire but nothing like the rears.

as for finding what my camber angle is I use something like This

today i installed it. 8.8 hardness m10x1.25 30mm. i put 5 washers under each bolt. it looks alot better. im going to get my alignment done now.

might not end up perfect but atleast its ALOT better than it was.
