hey guys. i was hoping that you guys would be able to help me with my fuel set-up. over the last 2 month or so ive completly redone my late model 96 eclipse. as for the motor.. ive got all new parts. cp pistons, eagle rods, all new bearings, ARP studs, crawer turbo cams, and stainless steel valves. the WHOLE works! i also have a treadstone turbo kit with their 50 trim turbo.
im hoping to run around 16psi with this set up, but my problem is now fuel.. ive looked high and low on this forum and cant find what im looking for. all ive been able to find are set ups for people who are turboing a stock motor.. and mine is, well, a bit more modifed:hellyeah:
it seens like alot of people are running a 12:1 FMU with a walbro 255 lph. but are only pushing 8psi with that.. i want to run at LEAST 13psi, so i was thinking.. 490cc injector with walbro 255 lph, and a sfmu?
what do you guys think? any help will go a long way!
thanks guys:cool:

That sounds good. Those injectors are good for about 250WHP. It's difficult to determine proper injector size using PSI alone, though... it's a meaningless figure without any context.

its hard to talk numbers with the motor still out of the car. but with this set up, i was hoping to hit somewhere around 275-300 whp. is that even going to be possible with this motor and turbo set up? with the proper fuel of course=)

:tease:You haven't searched enough...there's many 2gnts running MSNS and SFMU's with 13+ psi. The 12:1 fmu is common because it's the cheapest, easiest way to turbo a 2gnt eclipse.

With a sfmu you will be able to reach around your target (depending on how well your turbo flows), but remember when you get into the upper teens (boost) you may want to think about ways to control your spark. (msns or igniton box would be your best options)

Get some 750cc injectors and an AEM fic and call it a day. It will give you full fuel and ignition control and it's not confusing.

haha alright guys, im back at it. i still don't know what i should do about this fuel system. so ive got a new set-up in mind, and i want to know what you guys think. im still going to stick with my walbro 255, and im thinking about removing my stock FPR and going with a 1:1 AFPR with a return line and putting in 880cc injectors. i think im going to tune that with a megasquirt as will.
my new goal is around 350-400hp. the motor is built to withstand alot more then what i was planning on. And the turbo is good for around 375-400hp, so now i need a set-up thats going to allow me to make those kind of numbers. any thoughts on something i over looked? are those injectors going to be to big? i was told that i want 48LB injectors (490cc i think) but those are going to be to small for what im looking for.

i was thinking about the 750s but i was afraid that those wouldnt be big enough to support 400 hp
