ok you guys so i have been researching this for a while and cannot find exactly what im looking for. I just recently got rid of ny 95 gst and now own a 98 rs. I have no clue about 420 a's. The only thing wrong with the car is the 02 sensor i beleive. the CEL light is on and i ran it up to autozone and it threw one code for bank one. The front 02 is a bosch universal and im not to sure about the wiring. On the bosch there is white, white, black, and grey. on my harness the previous owner spliced in, pretty much wrong im sure but the wire colors are different then my gst. On the oem harness the colors are black-green, black-red, black, and white-grey.. i re-wired the wires like this......black-red to white, black-green to white, black to black, white-black to grey. If this was the proper wire set-up then is my oxygern sensor for sure gone? Do i need to purchase a new one? The way the previous owner had it spliced was not even close to what i did. please help me!

its also running very rich and idling like crap

Well I can tell that you're wiring was almost correct. Here's how you want them to be.

Black/Red-white
Black-White
Black/green-Grey
White-Black

I'm not sure which white one goes to which. All of my wires are shielded so all I could see was right next to the harness. So if that doesn't fix anything, switch the whites. Make sure your battery is completly undone when you start removing and switching wires, or you could fry your sensor.
