95 2GNTs came with a PSAI system. It's garbage and there is a recall to have it removed and the ECU reflashed to run correctly after the fact. This is one of those situations where all you have to say is that the 2GNT intake only requires (1) fitting to supply vacuum to the PCV system. Any other fittings should be capped off, as they are not needed.

To call it a breather hose fitting without mention of the PSAI system is on the weak side, even though, technically, that's all it really is. It's all moot anyway. Why are there STILL multi-page threads about intakes on NTs?

People. It's a pipe. There is a filter on the end of it. This is not rocket science. Get a cheap pipe and quality filter. Think for yourselves! The gains associated with CAIs are NOT worth the trouble debating. Pipe. Filter. Done.

i have a 97 eclipse non turbo with a cold air intake and exhaust this car was drove from california to ny in the winter and has seen alot of rain and snow and i have never woried about hydrolock from personal experience the only threat is to completely submerge the filter before it will pull water throuth the intake and into the engine not to mention although the filter is outside of the engine bay it is still not directly exposed to the outside environment therefore even going through puddles will not directly hit the filter i personally think that cai make a huge difference cause all the resistance is in the filter so smooth bends and a longer tube will let your engine breath easier it doesnt really make a huge difference from air temperture cause like previously said it will be rapidly heated by the hot manifold and head

I do not agree with the car not hydrolocking. The reason I have a TSI is because of an ebay CAI. It ran right to the ground 2" above street roughly and was great for a while. I live in NY and we got a bad rain storm, hit a puddle coming into a turning lane and my car sounded like a weed-wacker (aka honda) for about 20 sec. Shut it down and it locked up. Had the engine rebuilt by a local machine shop and threw an AEM Bypass on it (they are junk and DONT work unless the cone is completely submerged). Motor never ran right after the rebuild. My suggestion is that if its your DD just bolt on everything else and keep the stock intake. If you MUST have it, then by a SRI to ensure a larger safety margin for your motor. I would (if it was my N/A) get a Bigger TB and spacer for better flow, so if you end up going turbo its still money well spent. Good luck.

All the threads I read was the reason why I run a short ram on my car. I don't want to worry about hydrolock and felt a nice gain from it. Truthfully all you need is a Ebay pipe with a good filter. Name brands are only good if you need a CARB number which I needed. That's why I have a AEM short ram on my car. Stupid California . You'll get the same gains as long as you use a good filter.
