I was driving home earlier today in my '90 Eclipse GS. I've had it for about a month now. A guy pulls up beside me in a 1st gen Plymouth Laser...with a flat hood. He looked at me and started reving his engine...and I heard a BOV hissing as the rpm's droped...a BOV in a 1.8 Liter? WTF! So I asked him to pull into a gas station with me so I could see the turbo mod. The guy has a compressor from an air horn kit that he got a Pep Boys hooked to a BOV that he got at a junk yard, and it's wired to his trottle voltage with a relay timer. When he goes WOT the thing hisses like a turbo for a second. Oh please! Rice boy awards...come get a picture of this! What's next? Fake cellular antennas on every window? That'll sure make the car faster. :|

HAHAHA!!!!

Quick note...I told the guy to use a SPDT relay instead of a SPST so the hiss can start after he releases WOT, because the way he has it it hisses for a second right as he goes WOT. I know I should have been mean to him for such an obvious rice mod but...sometimes I just feel sorry for people. Maybe while he's getting his SPDT he can pick up some Japanese letters at Pep Boys. You know those really help shave off seconds in the quarter...

Basic expolination of electrical terminology for the circuit impaired-

SPST - Single Pole Single Throw. This relay has one output terminal that is on when it gets a power signal.

SPDT - Single Pole Dual Throw. This relay has two output terminals. One is powered when the relay get's a signal. The other is powered then the relay does not have a signal.
