Ok i started a thread a few weeks ago about doing the TOB myself and got some great info but i forgot to ask the most important question... Will I be able to drop my trany without having a lift for my car? How high does my car have to be to do this? Will regular jacks be able to do the job? Thanks!

I have done it quite a few times on jack stands. You should be fine, Just make sure its high enough that you can (1) support trans with jack or (2) get under there enough to support it yourself so it wont just fall on the ground after its off the input shaft.

Did you do it on a 420A DSM or a 4G63..?

Either way, you should still have enough clearance for both platforms.
