Sorry Paul, I didn't see where to post this properly. I bought a 300zx and did a motor swap and just finished the project. My friend forced me to take the Eclipse to the drag way tonight and I ran a 15.2 at 98 mph with a HORRIBLE launch. I have revived the Eclipse and am now looking into making her sing again. I just wanted to make it known that I am back in the DSM community.

Take a look at his profile... it says "custom turbo kit."

Thanks for the welcome back, Paul.

It is custom, soon to change the turbo to a Super 60 Turbonetics from treadstoneperformance.com.

I am also going to head down to Mandrelbendingsolutions.com in Pasedena and get some custom bent intercooler piping.

My Tial wastegate seems to be malfunctioning, anyone know who to talk to about that? It will not open with a spring in it.

I hope to be more help now that I have successfully did an engine swap in the cramped 300zx engine bay.

If anyone was wondering, I ran a 15.211 @ 98.53 MPH last night as my best run. I need to learn to launch, my 60ft was 2.77. I also ran a 16.211 @98.98 MPH my 60ft on this run was a 3.55.

TEIN with EDFC is on the horizon, along with some other goodies, I will also be tuning my Portfueler.
Sorry for the long post but I am excited to be back.

Dang bro, do you have a boost leak? Any engine damage? I ran that time when I was still N/a..

Welcome back though! Us tri-staters gotta stick together.

Yeah, but I'm sure you didn't do it with those trap speeds. Looking at his 60ft times that's clearly the problem. Get better at launching that thing and pull a mid/low 14.

LOL WTF! I am laughing with you, right Link? No offense meant and welcome back but I would say yeah, your launching is a situation ;)

Tires, suspension, throttle pedal, will fix your 60's

Well the better of the two runs....I blew a coupler at the 1/8th mile. This will never happen again as I just got custom bent intercooler piping made today. $276 done in two hours. While waiting a 1g guy stopped by and told me how to hook up my wastegate. My "Voodoo" MBC is trash.

Seriously though, those two runs were my very first two drag runs in my life. If it doesn't rain tomorrow I will be at Cecil County trying my luck again. If it does...I will see yall on Wednesday or Friday of next week.

Blitz: Are you going to head down to Cecil County Dragway tomorrow(weather permitting)? All of the PA guys are talkin' about it.

Thanks guys, all the parts I need now are: proper MBC, Suspension, and Drag Radials.

EDIT: The new throttle OEM throttle body goes on tommorow, It seems to be sticky so I'll swap it out(I think the spring is going bad).

Welcome back.

Thank you, I also want to say congrats on wiseman status. You have definately earned it. I wish I could make my own title...."Dicker-wither" just because I know nothing about cars but I tinker with them until they work. Thanks again for all the help you have provided in the past, and when things to come go wrong, the future.

On another note I had an idea but I am sure noone is up for it; back in my old days when I was a part of the Probe community, they had and still do have a Probe Madness every november or so in myrtle beach. People from as far as Alaska drive down to come. We should have a DSM Madness. I would drive atleast halfway across the country if I had to. Just a huge meet. Come to think of it Z cars have one too Z1 Nationals up in Niagra falls or something.

Thanks, and you're welcome.

Well, we do have the DSM Shootout, hosted by Buscher Racing in Norwalk, OH every year. Just missed the 15th Shootout.

A DSMtuners.com gathering would be interesting, though.

Im sure they will. I am stealing some nice 18" rims off of my Z (Konig Crosshairs) and putting the Eclipse rims on the Z w/o the center caps. If weather permits, there is a tri-state meeting at the dragway up here; I will test my luck now that I have custom pipes and some other goodies.

Cecil is still open? Last time I was there I was under the impression they were closing once october hit.

Damnnit! I want to go. Weather looks OK from here in DE. It's getting cloudy so who knows if the rain will hold out or not. I would go especially if I knew there was another 420a-t there! Next time, shoot me a PM a couple days ahead of time so I can pull out of work and go. Tonight I am working from 2:30-10:30pm. So I don't think I can make it.

Next time for sure though.

Schedule on www.cecilcountydragway.com says weather permitting through December.

Seems to be letting up here, hopefully they stay open....you can always get a freak food poisoning:sneaky:

And the new engine bay pics, with the new intercooler piping.
