what pistons are good for my car

HI I wanted to buy me some pistons for my 420a turbo. My question is what pistons are good for my car. How much would they cost and where can I get them? I am buying the pistons because my compression was low and I am planing on rebuilding it. Any of you guys know of some good forged pistons for the 420a. What would be a good bore size and compression ratio too. Also should I replace the stock rods?

Lower compression pistons than stock are what most turbo guys use for their 420a's.

Use the search feature up towards the top and type "pistons" in the 420a turbo conversion section. There will be quite a few posts asking the same question as you and you will be able to find all of your answers there.

The search feature is your friend. And yes, you might as well replace the stock rods while you are at it. You will be able to find this answer as well.


Another thing...you might want to either add to your profile of your 420a setup, change it completely, or list your mods, being that the car shown now wont help much in the 420a section.

Does anyone know what sites i can use to buy some pistons for my car i saw some on ebay JE for 780 bucks so yeah any cheaper site will help me alot

Here and here are two Supporting Vendors off the top of my head that sell pistons for the 420a. There are others. I am not looking for them.

Are you sure that the price didnt include the rods too? This was on Ebay. $790 for all not just the pistons.
